ITINERARIES - 1
1
Night/2 Days (Osian-Khetasar-Osian)Day - 1: Guest are
received at the Camp Thar reception at Osian, and transferred to the Base
Camp by the rugged 4-wheel drive Camp Jeeps. After lunch guests depart for
safari into the Desert. Enroute one gets to see wild life like the Blue
Bull, Chinkara, Desert Fox, Partridge and a wide variety other birds.
Tea/Coffee is serves at a small Oasis near Khetasar. Guest is then taken on
the Camp Jeeps on tour of the village. Here they get to see the village
life, and potters and weavers at work. Guest arrives back to the Base Camp
in time to view the sunset over the Desert. Later in the evening the guest
are invited by the Camp Boss to an evening of folk entertainment followed by
dinner. Overnight at base Camp.
Day - 2: After breakfast
guests are transferred to Osian. They may take a tour of the temples and
proceed to onward destination.
ITINERARIES - 2
2 Night/3 Days (Bhikamkor - Dabri -
Khetasar)Day - 1: Guest are received at the Camp Thar
reception at Bhikamkor with packed lunch. After lunch commence safari.
Evening arrive Camp at the Dabri Dunes. Dinner with Camp Fire and Folk
entertainment. Overnight stay at Dabri.
Day - 2 : After
breakfast mount camels to continue on second days safari. For lunch, desert
cuisine is served at a typical Bishnoi Dhani. After lunch visit desert
village Khetasar to see the potters and weavers. Evening arrive at the base
Camp. Tonight we have more folk entertainment followed by dinner. Overnight
at Base camp.
Day - 3 : After breakfast guests are
transferred to Osian to proceed to onward destination after the temple tour.
Fair and Festival
Pushkar Fair: Rajasthan's most
famous fair, it brings together camel traders, pilgrims, visitors, and those
who're here simply to participate in one of the season's most colorful
social events. Beside tented camps, there are hundreds of shops selling
every thing from handicrafts to spices, foodstuff and Jewellery. For
visitors, a number of activities are also arranged, but most simply wish to
stay within the fair grounds to watch the fascinating Rajasthani village
metamorphose before their eyes.
Suggested Pushkar Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive at Ajmer, and drive 11 km to Pushkar. Spend the day in
fair grounds, overnight in tents.
Day 02: Back to the fair,
camel rides, visit the Brahmas Lake and temples on its banks, and simply
keep going with the flow of people.
Day 03: Proceed to
next destination.
